Bournemouth offers a good selection of shops, including most of the familiar High Street names. You will also find many independent retailers including jewellers, art galleries, craft shops, antiques shops, gift shops and more. Thanks to its compact size, pedestrian streets and many coffee shops, cafes and restaurants, shopping in Bournemouth is a rather pleasant experience.

The Castlepoint Shopping Center (outside the City Center) houses a large range of shops, department stores and retail outlets. In town there is also a fair selection of small covered shopping malls and arcades.
